A few words about me…
I grew up playing video games and like most of my peers I appreciated the way computer games can immerse you in their digital world and offer you hours of fun and entertainment. This formative experience made me a computer games devotee and provided the initial impetus for me to seek to become a game developer as I begun to dream of seeing people enjoying games that I helped produce.
I always had a passion for programming and solving challenging problems which fits perfectly with the technical intricacies of developing video games. The games industry constantly evolves offering new opportunities and learnings every day. I find that working within a team that is pushing to hit deadlines, helps me learn, improve my skills and work on my weaknesses.
Outside of the technical aspect of work, I act as a mentor for young professionals, a Video Games Ambassador (VGA), as well as a member of the BAFTA, International Game Developer Association (IGDA) and Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS). I am a firm believer that the industry should be accessible to anyone who wants to make games.
I regularly participate at career events as a panelist, team mentor in game jams and assessor in awards and competitions. My goal is to support any cause that will help people navigate the difficulties that I once faced and find their footing in the industry.
